LAC
Established in Lisbon, LAC (Language and Company) emerged from the wish to teach languages whilst encouraging knowledge about their cultural characteristics and relevance. In 2017, LAC opened its doors to students from various corners of the world and since then it has been dedicated to teach more than 12 languages and to foster multiculturality.
LAC is a brand, certified by DGERT and an important part of the cultural association ACTM (associação tecla melódica). ACTM promotes lifelong learning and offers cross disciplinary opportunities, linking two main disciplines: languages and music. Furthermore, the association creates space for students to discover distinct ways of communication. Aware of the present needs for integration, it promotes the encounter with diverse worlds in order to fuel the community’s full development.

David Bracke
David Bracke was born in Belgium and is the founder and president of ACTM. His passion for languages and music led him to create this association. David started at the University of Gent in Flanders where he studied languages and linguistics. Whilst specializing, he cultivated his interest for music, learning Oboe and Bassoon at the conservatoire. Shortly after, he set up to do Erasmus in Munich and later in Lisbon where he still lives. Together with an invaluable set of experiences he brought with him a great will to share what he knows. Today, alongside the activities developed at ACTM he is also OAP and CAP’s artistic director as well as lecturer at the Germanic language center at ISCTE- Lisbon University Institute.
